Having a passion for wine made winemaking an obvious career choice. His ambition was to create fine wines in the Entre-Deux-Mers appellation, a terroir, his terroir, synonymous with the pleasure of being alive.
With its mascaret and its unfulfilled potential, this unspoiled northern part of the Gascon region is the source of the unfailing energy Thibault infuses into his team, the people he meets and his wines everyday.
Her extensive travels at a very young age awakened Basaline’s fondness for the finer things in life and love for new experiences, be they related to wine, food or just life in general. With her wine-loving husband, Eric Granger she takes great pleasure in sharing her joy for cooking, just as her parents Odile and Jean-Louis taught her.
Today she puts her heart and soul into running the family business.
Joël Elissalde inherited his attention to detail and demand for perfection from his father, a craftsman carpenter. But, he also learned the tricks of the trade himself in the workshop. In the early 80s, Joël met Jean-Louis Despagne at a motocross track, where they bonded over their mutual taste for adventure and taking risks. It was the start of a great friendship. In 1987, as soon as Joël received his National Diploma of Oenology from the University of Bordeaux, they were ready set their ambitious project for the Entre-Deux-Mers region in motion.
